CHRISTINE ANU was born in Cairns, North Queensland and studied dance at the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association. Bursting onto the music scene in 1995 with her platinum-selling CD Stylin Up, she has combined the worlds of singing, dance and acting throughout her career, bringing them together spectacularly while performing the role of Mimi in "Rent" as well as playing Arabia in Baz Luhrmann’s Oscar-winning film Moulin Rouge! The single "Sunshine on a Rainy Day," from her latest CD Come My Way, spent more than three months on the charts in Australia.
